I abandoned the comfort of my home office today to do some writing (I’m putting together a book on creativity in coaching). The Son is apparently revising for exams, but his taste in music differs from mine, as does his volume preference. So I headed to The Husband’s recording studio. Never underestimate the peace and tranquillity of a padded room for productivity. I achieved more in that soundproofed space in a focused three hours than I would have done at home.
I am convinced that a change of environment boosts creative thinking. Because we work outside our normal routines, surrounded by unfamiliar things, we stop running on autopilot. Highly recommended.
