Up for a creative challenge? If you’ve ever thought you have a novel in you, have a go at the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) annual event. Simple idea: you write a 50,000+ word novel during the month of November. That’s around 1600 words a day. Depending on your typing speed and flow of ideas, maybe an hour a day could get you there. (A published novel is generally around 80,000 words, so you might want to do a bit more, if that’s your ultimate aim.) No prizes, no literary awards, just a huge feeling of personal achievement if it’s something you’ve always wanted to do. Have a look at http://www.nanowrimo.org/hownanoworks
So if you’ve been procrastinating, November is a good time to take action.
See you at the finishing line. (Geddit?)
