Time out

Spent another excellent day in London yesterday in Part II of a coaching masterclass with careers expert John Lees and some of his associates (www.johnleescareers.com). I hoovered up a vast amount of knowledge, not only from John but from the other participants, and the day went by in a blur.

Afterwards, the train journey home gave me time to think through the ideas we’d discussed and reflect on how I will use these in my own career coaching practice. That thinking space is invaluable, and this morning I am clear and focused on the next steps.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the headlong charge through the to do list. Yesterday just re-confirmed to me the value of investing in time out from the routine to think more creatively with the help of some great coaches.
