I have measured out my life in washing loads. At least that’s how it feels. And to make matters worse, it is typical exam revision weather: beautiful, warm, May sunshine and a bank holiday weekend with everyone else loafing about.
So on a permanent cycle between my books, washing machine, kettle and garden, I look forward to the end of exams next week. My family looks forward to bidding Mrs Grumpy a fond farewell. A visitor for nine months (and due to call in between now and next September), she has outstayed her welcome.
