Having it all

Standard

Following on from the last post about working women, there is an interesting looking programme on BBC Two tonight at 9pm.  Comparing the lives of two presenters, one a mother of three and the other a father of three, I’m wondering if those who want to combine family and career have moved on from my own experiences in the 1990s.  For me it was a case of ‘muddling through’, feeling as if I wasn’t fulfilling either role terribly well and exhausted by the levels of organisation demanded:  often, it felt like a military operation rather than a school day.

‘Why can’t a woman succeed like a man?’ is the one to watch.
